To answer this question, you’ll first need to know what the facility offers. First, read this article then you will be able to tell if you really need a GTA Online facility. The main reason for buying the Facility would be the Doomsday Heist which contains three acts and a lot of setup missions.
Facility Locations & Cost
There’s a total of 9 Facilities in the game:
- Land Act Reservoir Facility – $2,950,000
- Sandy Shores Facility – $2,740,000
- Grand Senora Desert Facility – $2,525,000
- Route 68 Facility- $2,312,500
- Zancudo River Facility – $2,100,000
- RON Alternates Wind Farm Facility – $1,855,000
- Lago Zancudo Facility – $1,670,000
- Mount Gordo Facility – $1,465,000
- Paleto Bay Facility – $1,250,000
The Doomsday Heist
This heist can be started only if you have a Facility and are registered as a CEO/VIP or MC President. It was a pretty epic heist at launch. Had a very decent payout when you did all three acts with the same squad and was really fun, still is. Although right now the prep + setup missions may feel like it’s a bit too much when compared to setup missions in heists like The Diamond Casino Heist or Cayo Perico Heist.
Orbital Cannon
You really must hate another player in the lobby to use this instant kill weapon. For starters, using the remote controlled costs $500,000 for manual firing & $750,000 for automatic targeted firing. So it’s quite expensive to use this weapon. The only vehicle that’s not destroyable by the Orbital Cannon is the Galaxy Super Yatch.
The Avenger Storage
Another purpose of the Facility would be a storage for the Avenger. This hybrid aircraft is a must have which also means having a Facility is a must have.
Other Special vehicles storage
Having a GTA Online Facility also offers storage for the following vehicles: Thruster, Chernobog, RCV and the Khanjali. Completing prep + setup missions in the Doomsday Heist that involve these vehicles also unlocks their trade price.
So, do you think you should buy the Facility? I mean the Doomsday Heist and the Avenger are the main reasons and if those reasons are enough for you, then go ahead and buy the Facility. The Doomsday Heist is really fun when played with the same squad of friends. But know you may die a lot in it’s missions so I recommend being in the right mindset for the Doomsday Heist😂.
